Up and at em
Up and at 'em at Global Edmonton this morning. A busy day on the Morning News with lots of drivers in studio and on location with Erin Chalmers.
On The Fast Track For Charity
As long as I've covered the Edmonton Indy, the Drivers have been extremely accessible, gracious and charitable. Today, Dario Franchitti and Scott Dixon - both members of Target Chip Ganassi Racing, are meeting with the Boys and Girls Clubs, along with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Edmonton. The drivers will speak on the importance of good sportsmanship and teamwork. Franchitti and Dixon are making a pit stop to help fuel the minds of impressionable youths. Very commendable. Watch for the story on Global.

Stefan Up
Interviewed Stefan Rzadzinski yesterday. The 19-year-old driver from Edmonton is definitely geared up for this year's race. Last year, the Mazda Star Championship driver was a last minute entry and piloted a car he'd never been in before. He finished in the Top Ten, during his professional series race. He's had a year to prepare for this weekend's race, and likes his chances of improving on that Top Ten finish. Rzadzinski will be driving for JDC Motorsports. We'll be cheering-on, the friend of Global, at the City Centre Airport.
Many of the Indy drivers are helping those less fortunate in our society. Check out some of their activities tonight over the supper hour on Global Edmonton.Derek DeboltManaging EditorGlobal Edmonton, a division of Shaw Media5325 Allard WayEdmonton, Alberta | T6H 5B8Telephone: (780) 989-4682 (b) (780) 940-6683 (c)derek.debolt@globalnews.ca www.twitter.com/derekdeboltACCOUNTABLE BALANCE CUSTOMER FOCUSED INTEGRITY LOYALTY POSITIVE, CAN DO ATTITUDE TEAM PLAYER
