They are talking about the union movement and Healthcare Unions, voting for Redford...

Unless you live in his riding, you wouldn't be voting for Mar in the provincial election. I'm not a Mar fan but I will be voting for my PC Candidate in the provincial election because he represents me well :)

@Me -- you are right, but our taxes WON'T go down AND we will be billed for health premiums.
by luv-n-laughter10/2/2011 6:00:06 AM
No - all the second choices get added back to all three of the candidates.
by po'd10/2/2011 6:00:08 AM
@whatever, Gary Mar might be the next Primer, but Alison Reford will be the next Premier...lol

@VassyKapelos Steals Morton!!! So much for not talking to the media tonight....
The remaining three constituencies still need to be counted. Since it's unlikely that will put anyone over 50%, the second choices of Horner supporters ONLY will then be counted. That will effectively reduce it to a two-person race, ensuring Either Mar or Redford will have at least 50%+1.

So people need to vote again or how does it work?
by Drew10/2/2011 6:01:30 AM
@Drew No, in the ballots cast today, members voted for their second choice. Those votes will now be counted.
Alberta Education's recent deal with the Calgary Catholic School Board to swap an old school for a brand new one in the northwest subdivision of Hidden Valley has left some people wondering whether all neighbourhoods are created equal. At the beginning of September, residents of Hidden Valley got the news that a new school would open in their neighbourhood in 2000. Good news for them, but bad news for the occupants of an independent school whose building got traded away to Alberta Education in the bargain. As far as anyone knows, it is just a coincidence that the new school is being built to the benefit of people in the riding of Education Minister Gary Mar.

Agreed on the "can't stand Ted" comment. I like Gary Mar but Ted Morton throwing his suppport behind him after the first ballot didn't do Gary any favors.

Hopefully, tonight is the swan song for the olde boys network! Power to the people!
