Swoot - I hear ya about switching to Wildrose, but I just can't stand behind Mar and the old boys club. It is sad, and I am torn, but I feel like I have no choice. If Redford gets in then I will support her...
by Me10/2/2011 5:46:40 AM
what's better for us then @swoot, to vote for someone we don't believe in (Mar) or to voice our desire for change?

This is greeat coverage ... nice keep up to date... without the convention background noise! sitting by the fireplace, galss of wine tweetin' away

@whatever...if Mar wins there will be no healthcare for mid and low incomes and bet your boots that premiums come back!
by luv-n-laughter10/2/2011 5:46:48 AM
I agree - no matter who wins it seems like the party may be divided. But I have a feeling Mar supporters will get behind Redford for the most part, whereas Redford supports may not support Mar.
by Me10/2/2011 5:48:43 AM
stop saying Gary ...old boys club.......what you know......
by whatever10/2/2011 5:48:49 AM
I agree Swoot and ask people watch QP during Fall session and see how they behave before buying a membership.

For the people saying they will join Wildrose if Mar wins, I beg you, for this province, to look into what that party actually stands for, what the platform actually is and the actions the party has taken. by swoot 11:43 PM

@me after the votes are distributed it doesn't matter anymore if the winner reach 51% or not
by adddela10/2/2011 5:49:04 AM
82 out of 85 polls now reporting. #ab #pcldr twitpic.com
They are talking about the union movement and Healthcare Unions, voting for Redford...
by Me10/2/2011 5:59:49 AM
Unless you live in his riding, you wouldn't be voting for Mar in the provincial election. I'm not a Mar fan but I will be voting for my PC Candidate in the provincial election because he represents me well :)
by swoot10/2/2011 5:59:52 AM
thanks for explaining that vassy, you were able to use far more many words than i did to clear it up
by -10/2/2011 6:00:04 AM
@Me -- you are right, but our taxes WON'T go down AND we will be billed for health premiums.
by luv-n-laughter10/2/2011 6:00:06 AM
No - all the second choices get added back to all three of the candidates.
by po'd10/2/2011 6:00:08 AM
@whatever, Gary Mar might be the next Primer, but Alison Reford will be the next Premier...lol
by luv-n-laughter10/2/2011 6:00:11 AM
@VassyKapelos Steals Morton!!! So much for not talking to the media tonight....
The remaining three constituencies still need to be counted. Since it's unlikely that will put anyone over 50%, the second choices of Horner supporters ONLY will then be counted. That will effectively reduce it to a two-person race, ensuring Either Mar or Redford will have at least 50%+1.

So people need to vote again or how does it work?
by Drew10/2/2011 6:01:30 AM
@Drew No, in the ballots cast today, members voted for their second choice. Those votes will now be counted.
